No experience required to enjoy this class! – Instructor Laura will update you on the latest swim methods and show you how to get the best out of the water, for swimmers and non-swimmers alike – you are never too old to learn!! If you prefer to swim or paddle at your own pace, then no need to join in the class – just enjoy being in the water with swimmers of your own age!
This great multisport work out will see you practicing Aquathlon, Duathlon, Triathlon, the art of transitions, back to back training and more!
This workout will be a superb compliment to your regular Lane swim ; spin /bike workouts and run training. This is the adult version of our highly successful Junior Triathlon Academy.
Ballet is an elegant classical form of dance that is also a fantastic way to tone up all parts of the body, improve posture, balance and flexibility.
Adult ballet classes are designed to give you training and understanding of the ballet technique whilst giving you a pleasurable versatile type of exercise. As a foundation of all dance, ballet will lengthen and strengthen your muscles, improve breathing, body alignment and provide a sense of well-being.
This is a small group training session with the emphasis on participation, knowledge and enjoyment of the sport of triathlon and its 3 disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.
The sessions can make use of the cardio studio for stretching, the gym for strength work and cardio work on treadmills and stationary bikes, the pool for swim training and the great outdoors for biking, running and transition training.
As we move into the winter months the emphasis will be on strength work, run technique and swim fitness. Sessions will include goal setting for the next triathlon season and advice on training and nutrition if requested.
These sessions are friendly and fun and anyone can join as they are geared towards a mix of different levels of ability and experience. Details of each session will be posted in reception.
Pure Stretch is designed for all those bodies out their that need a little loosening up! Have you been stuck in the office or car all day? Or overdone it with the gardening or house work! Then this highly effective class will help stretch you out , loosen up. Pure Stretch will get both your mind and body back in balance!
This easy to follow strength conditioning class makes use of kettle bells, fit balls and mini balls. It is a low impact (no jumping or jogging) total body conditioning class, and is designed with muscle balance in mind. It targets the all important core muscles (front, back and sides) as well as the arms, shoulders, chest, back, legs and buttocks. It will also improve stability and balance and enhance the efficient use of muscle groups for everyday activities and sports. Most of the exercises are multi muscle compound exercises, some are body weight bearing exercises and they all have functional strength as well as individual muscle strength, tone and definition in mind. The kettle bells and balls are used to add interest, comfort or challenge to the exercises.
If you haven’t been in a swimsuit for years – then this is the session for you! This is a Non-intimidating & Fully supported instructor led class to help you achieve your fitness/weight loss goals for 2014, Aimed at the body conscious swimmer & non swimmer alike, this water based session is a superb compliment to your Slimming World or Weight Watcher classes.
